DrawBraille Mobile Phone is one of the most compelling concepts that focus on making mobile phones easy-to-use for the blind. The entire UI and input keys are in Braille and even the touch panel reflects this system. The design and approach have a surreal finish to it and I am quite sure that Shikun Sun is on to something big with this!

Very cool looking headphones from Aedle a Paris based audio startup specialized in the manufacturing of high-end headphones. They come in two variants the Classic and the Carbon.
The Classics are made with the ever popular aircraft aluminum and the lux lambskin leather, and the Carbon are limited edition.

Any Kinda Tape
The Hole Measuring Tape is pretty innovative with many facets to it. It allows you to draw straight lines and circles with precision. Although not clarifies, I am assuming the tape is retractable and offers measures in more than one measuring system. Simple and functional

Created by Seoul based media arts group Jonpasang, Hyper-Matrix is an installation created for the Hyundai Motor Group Exhibition Pavilion in Korea, the 2012 Yeosu EXPO site. The installation comprises a specially made steel construction to support thousands of stepper motors that control 300x300mm cubes that project out of the internal facade of the building.
Lightweight blocks move in and out of the facade, creating infiniti number of possibilities in the vertical, 180 degree, landscape. The audience is part of the pattern shaping performance as thousands of cubes move with the sounds. Pixel waves sweep the space, ripples emit from the centre and just in case this is not enough, projection mapping takes care of the rest. See videos for more.
Jonpasang collective includes Jin-Yo Mok, Sookyun Yang, Earl Park, Jin-Wook Yeo and Sang-Wook Yu.

One up on the Chop-to-Pot?
Its designers describe the Slice cutting board as being “characteristically defined by its purpose yet visually inviting of attention in any kitchen environment,” The removal of two mirrored, wedge shapes from either side of the board enhances the functionality of effortless lifting and controlled funneling of sliced food in one movement. It’s functionally practical for the same reason that it’s beautiful… exactly what good design is all about!
